How an arrangement works.
A plain outline of a Tidewater Steward membership — the rhythm, the billing, and what to expect from a visit.
Memberships are monthly and open-ended
Each membership level — Preferred, Signature, and Estate — is billed monthly and continues month to month. There is no fixed term and no minimum commitment beyond the notice described below.
Included visits, coordination, and reporting are described on the Membership page. Work beyond what a level includes is discussed and quoted in advance, so there are no surprises on an invoice.
How to cancel or pause
You may cancel at any time with thirty days' written notice to office@tidewatersteward.com. Your membership remains active, and visits continue, through the end of that notice period; after it, billing stops.
If you are leaving for an extended season, a membership may be paused rather than ended — tell your steward and we will arrange the dates together.
Vendor invoices, at cost
Vendor invoices are always billed directly to you, at cost — never marked up through us. If a vendor invoices us on your behalf, the invoice is passed through exactly as received.
Our coordination of vendors — meeting them, reviewing their work, keeping the schedule — is part of your membership; we are paid by you, not by the trades.
What a visit is, and what it is not
A visit is a walk of the property by your steward: a check of the systems and spaces agreed in your Home File, notes and photographs for your record, and follow-through on anything that needs attention — a vendor met at the door, an issue documented, a small matter resolved before it grows.
A visit is not a cleaning, a repair, or a trade call. We are not a handyman service, and visits do not include labor on systems beyond ordinary care of the home. When work is needed, we coordinate the right vendor and stay accountable for the outcome.
Access, alarms, pets, and any standing instructions for a visit are set during onboarding and kept current in your Home File.
A note on this outline
This page is a plain-language outline of how an arrangement works, not a substitute for the written agreement signed when a membership begins. If anything here differs from your agreement, the agreement governs.
