Our approach
We keep a small number of homes so that each one is genuinely known.
Most home services are organized around transactions: a call comes in, a task is completed, the relationship resets. Stewardship works the other way. We keep a record of the property, learn how it behaves through the seasons, and carry that knowledge forward year to year.
That approach only works at a certain scale. We limit the number of homes under our care so that the person who walks your property is the person who remembers it — and so that when you call, you are speaking with someone who already knows what you are describing.

Founder and Principal Steward
Jacob is the person who walks the property, keeps the Home File, and coordinates vendors. Tidewater Steward Co. stays deliberately small: a limited number of homes in Williamsburg and the nearby Tidewater, looked after by someone who already knows the house when a call comes in.
The work is scheduled presence, clear family reporting, and the judgment to catch small issues before they become expensive ones. High-value homes in these communities need steady attention, not a rotating crew and a ticket number.

Access to a home is a private matter. Our stewards are insured and background-checked, records are kept confidential, and we do not publish or discuss the homes in our care.

We serve Williamsburg, James City County, Yorktown, York County, and nearby communities. The service area is deliberately narrow — it is what allows us to be at a property within the hour when it matters.
